The Spine Center is a Division of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University
of Rochester Medical Center. The Department provides total orthopaedic care through
its nine sub-specialty divisions: Adult Reconstruction, Foot/Ankle, Hand/Upper Extremity,
General Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Tumor, Musculosketal Trauma, Pediatric Orthopaedic
Surgery, Spine Center, and Sports Medicine.
As an academic department in the University of Rochester School of Medicine and
Dentistry, the Department of Orthopaedics is also a major national site for orthopaedic
education and musculoskeletal research. The Department's mission is to provide unsurpassed
care to patients with musculoskeletal problems, to prepare health care professionals
to provide this same level of care and, through research, to lead the way towards
advances in orthopaedic care.
